Scottishness: Reflections on identity will reach a unique audience chosen specifically for this product and a variety of distribution channels have been identified to maximise the publication’s impact. A total of 8,000 copies will be printed and distributed.

 

Postal copies – a list of 500 recipients has been chosen to receive a named and addressed copy including leading players in Scotland’s private companies, senior figures in the public sector and opinion formers in the Scottish media.

 

Personal copies – copies will be supplied to the office of the First Minister to be given to visitors as gifts, the Presiding officer for overseas visitors, and the Executive will offer them to visiting dignitaries and VIPs. The Scottish Entrepreneurial Exchange will also provide them for members.

 

Overseas copies – Scottish Enterprise will distribute copies to all their Global Scots – some of the most wealthy and influential of the Scottish business diaspora. Visit Scotland will also make copies available to existing and potential visitors from abroad.

 

Event copies – copies will also be given to attendees at some of Scotland’s premier events including The Bafta Scotland Awards, The Scottish Legal Awards and a special Royal Society Event on identity.

 

Sales copies – as befits a publication of this quality, it will also be on sale at museums, the Scottish Parliament shop and several key retail outlets
